Second Round

Foret is a lovely Belgian Ale. Light and balanced, hints of citrus and yeast. Bonus points for the cool label.  Worth noting, we've bought a few chalice style glasses and they are truly the right thing for serving this style of beer.  Our glasses are from the New Belgian Brewing Co (Fat Tire Ale fame) and have a logo incised in the bottom that ensures plenty of nucleation sites. That is geek-speak for "helps make a nice big head."  It was $9.99 for the double-big bottle (so glad I have someone to share them with.) We enjoyed this pleasant beer sitting on the porch after a big morning at the farmer's market.

It's October 1 and we are enjoying some gloriously sunny days. The farmer's market haul of some grass-fed beef patties, anaheim peppers for roasting, jalapeno bagels, beets and more means an evening of grilling and, of course, another round of something later.
